Corvus Energy has launched Blue Whale NxtGen Power, a lithium iron phosphate battery system for tugs, workboats, offshore vessels, and ferries with high power demands. The product is the first from Corvus’s partnership with BYD Energy Storage, formalized through a December 2025 memorandum of understanding and a May 2026 cooperation agreement. BYD supplies battery cells while Corvus handles system design, safety features, and lifecycle support. Built on Corvus’s NxtGen platform, the system will debut alongside its broader LFP lineup at SMM Hamburg on September 2.
