Antin Infrastructure Partners has completed its acquisition of Vigor Marine Group, taking the Portland-based ship repair group off the hands of an affiliate of Lone Star Funds. Vigor provides maintenance, repair and overhaul work, marine fabrication and related services to the U.S. Navy and to defense and commercial customers. The company generated more than $1 billion in revenue in 2025 and employs roughly 2,700 people across Portland, Vancouver, Washington, Seattle, San Diego and Norfolk, operating six dry docks and 29 berths.

Antin said the investment will fund added capacity, advanced manufacturing equipment and technology upgrades, along with workforce training aimed at the skilled-labor shortages dogging the domestic repair sector.

“This new partnership with Antin is a tremendous opportunity for Vigor Marine Group to realize our vision of being the most innovative, technologically advanced, forward-looking provider for the U.S. Navy,” said CEO Francesco Valente, calling it “a key moment for VMG and our maritime industrial base.”

Valente and the existing management team remain in place.
