Container News Article: Port of Coos Bay Executes INFRA grant for Pacific Coast Intermodal Port

The Oregon International Port of Coos Bay has formally executed a US$25 million INFRA grant agreement with the US Department of Transportation, backing the Pacific Coast Intermodal Port (PCIP) project. Private partner NorthPoint Development is matching the funds with its own US$25 million, creating a combined US$50 million package for environmental review, permitting, and preliminary engineering. NorthPoint will build a multi-berth container terminal on the North Spit under lease with the Port. The project aims to establish the West Coast’s first fully ship-to-rail container gateway.
