U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy has announced $8.75 million in MARAD Small Shipyard Grants to support the revitalization of U.S. shipyards and advance American maritime strength. Seventeen recipients in twelve states will receive funding for advanced equipment, workforce development, and technology upgrades, furthering President Trump’s plan to restore U.S. maritime dominance. Since 2008, the program has awarded 382 grants totaling $320.5 million, supporting over 100,000 jobs and boosting both national security and local economies.
