Port of Vancouver USA Maintains Record of Fiscal Responsibility with 16th Straight Clean Audit
VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Washington State Auditor’s Office (SAO) issued the Port of Vancouver USA another clean bill of financial health – its 16th straight. The audit period was from January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024.
The SAO is Washington state’s official overseer of how ports, local government entities and other special-purpose districts use public funds. It issues annual reports to provide citizens with independent and transparent examinations of how those funds are used.
“We are proud to once again demonstrate that the Port of Vancouver USA is a responsible steward of public resources, committed to generating economic prosperity for our region,” said Julianna Marler, CEO of the Port of Vancouver USA. “For 16 years, the port’s clean audits have affirmed that we use public funds wisely to create local jobs, move vital cargo, and support communities here at home and around the world.”
At the Port of Vancouver USA, the SAO examined marine terminal revenue; accounts payable, including general disbursements, credit cards and electronic fund transfers; payroll disbursements; open public meetings compliance with minutes, meetings and executive session requirements; and financial condition.
