April 2021

Wednesdays 10 am - 12 pm

We are committed to providing our members and community a flexible opportunity to learn from local industry experts. This April we will be sharing Shipping Education 202 in four convenient online sessions on Wednesday mornings: April 7, 14, 21, and 28th.

April 7 : What Cargo Moves & Why

  • April 14: Who Moves Cargo & How
  • April 21: How Cargo Moves – Transportation Modes
  • April 28 Where Cargo Moves: Pacific Northwest Ports

In Shipping 202 we look at the business of shipping from the perspective of the cargo as it moves, including different types of cargo; labor demands; and modes of cargo transportation. We discuss the needs of supply chain & logistics, and the role of regulatory compliance, as it effects the economy of the Columbia River.
