companies for a round table discussion about how COVID-19 has influenced their business and what they anticipate 2020 will bring. Each company will highlight their activities followed by a moderated Q&A.

Foss Maritime – Art Dahlin

In 2013, Art was hired by Foss parent company Saltchuk Resources as the Senior Financial Analyst. Art joined Foss in 2015 as a Project Manager. In 2018, Art was promoted to the role of General Manager in the Columbia/Snake River region for Foss Maritime. Art is responsible for the safety, operations, and profit and loss of the region. Art is a member of the board of directors for the Maritime Commerce Club, Columbia River.

Shaver Transportation – Rob Rich

Rob Rich started on the river as a deckhand with the former Knappton Towboat Company in 1979. Rob has been at Shaver Transportation Company since 1986. Mr. Rich is the Past-President of Pacific NorthwestWaterways Association (PNWA), Vice Chair of Columbia River Steamship Operators Association (CRSOA) and Past President of the Columbia River Towboat Association (CRTA).

Tidewater Transportation and Terminals – Dave Konz

Mr. Konz holds various roles at Tidewater including overseeing the risk management as well as building relationships and engagement in advocacy with industry associations, regulatory partners and local, state and federal government officials and staff. Mr. Konz is active in many of the local and national maritime organizations including currently serving as the President of the Columbia River Towboat Association, Chairman of the Lower Columbia Region Harbor Safety Committee and Board Members of AWO (Pacific Region) and the Pacific NW Waterways Association. Mr. Konz previously served on the US Inland Waterways User Board.
