Sea Grant, a program run by Oregon State University and NOAA, led a dozen community members on a guided tour of Warrenton Marina’s working waterfront on July 10. Tour guide Amanda Gladics showed attendees three commercial fishing vessels — the longline boat South Bay, troller Betty H, and trawler Cape Windy — explaining how each fishery operates. Local fishers Wayne Stolz and Paxton Starley also demonstrated how to buy fresh fish directly from the docks, emphasizing traceability and freshness over store-bought seafood.
