Wallenius Wilhelmsen has ordered four 9,900-CEU dual-fuel LNG pure car and truck carriers from China’s Jinling Shipyard (Jiangsu), with deliveries beginning in mid-2030. Options for four more vessels in 2031 and four in 2032 could bring total capital expenditure to approximately $1.5 billion. Built to the company’s Shaper Class design, the ships feature hoistable decks, heavy-duty ramps, and flexible cargo spaces. The order extends the fleet renewal program, launched in 2023, to 26 vessels including options.
