The ro/ro freighter Blue Carrier 2 remained ablaze three days after a fire broke out Friday north of Mykonos while transiting from Syros to Samos. All 28 crew and a truck driver evacuated safely with no injuries. The vessel, towed to sheltered waters southwest of Tinos, has taken on a slight list, with fire damage extending through the superstructure and wheelhouse. Officials suspect a truck in the vehicle bay ignited due to an electrical fault; the Hellenic Coast Guard has opened a preliminary investigation, and the vessel may be a total loss.
