Global container schedule reliability fell for a third straight month in August, with just 29% of vessels arriving on time, according to analyst Xeneta.
Average delays rose to 5.1 days as the Far East–Europe trade collapsed to just 6% on-time performance, its weakest reading since 2021, amid Red Sea diversions, European port congestion, and four consecutive Chinese typhoons.
Africa and South America East Coast also weakened sharply. Ten of the 12 largest carriers posted lower reliability, with Maersk remaining the top performer at 51%.
