Colonial Terminals has opened Foundation 3, a new approximately 25-acre breakbulk facility on the Savannah River, expanding its marine, rail, trucking, and storage capabilities in the Southeast. The facility features an 810-foot heavy-capacity dock, over 14,000 feet of on-site rail track with Class I service via Norfolk Southern, and access to Interstates 16 and 95. Storage includes two warehouses totaling 130,000 square feet and a 75,000-square-foot outdoor concrete storage area. The terminal can handle steel, forest products, project cargo, and other general commodities, supporting 24-hour operations.
