Master Boat Builders has launched Defiant, the third of eight RApport 2700-MP tugs under construction for Maritime Partners, with delivery scheduled this fall. The 88-by-43-foot design, developed by Robert Allan Ltd. for ship-assist and escort work, features twin Caterpillar engines, Steerprop Z-drives, and over 90 metric tons of bollard pull. The first two vessels, Marauder and Titan, have entered service with E.N. Bisso & Son under a charter arrangement with Maritime Partners, expanding the operator’s tug fleet across Gulf Coast ports.
