Bibby Marine has celebrated the keel laying of its world-first hybrid methanol-battery e-CSOV at Armon Shipyard in Vigo, Spain—a major leap for offshore wind support vessels. Scheduled for commissioning in 2027, the vessel will accommodate up to 120 personnel and deliver zero-emission commissioning and maintenance for offshore wind farms for up to 30 days. Featuring the largest battery system ever installed on a DP2 ship and full methanol fuel capability, the e-CSOV promises significant reductions in emissions and fuel consumption, setting a new standard for sustainable maritime operations.
